Welcome to the "SAVE THE GOOD DR" community. This is being established as a place to unite the fans of both the character Dr. Sara Tancredi and the actress who portrays her, Sarah Wayne Callies. It is being created first and foremost as a place to gather ideas and put them into effect regarding the best and most constructive ways to convey our feelings regarding the potential loss of the wonderful character Dr. Sara Tancredi, and the talented actress who portrays her, Sarah Wayne Callies.

Brainstorming

In the past letter writing campaigns and petitions have yielded results with the networks when either a show is cancelled or a favorite actor/character let go.  That is why now is the time to get organized.  So far we have several popular ideas:

Come up with a good motto, everyone involved with the campaign effort actively advertises the goal.
So far  we have 'Save the Good Dr' or perhaps something even simpler could work:  'SWC Campaign'
The most important thing being a focus on SWC or Dr. Tancredi.  Everyone needs to know what we are  talking
about the minute they see our motto/headline.

Launch a website dedicated to our cause with discussion forums and moderators.
Have members sign  a  petition.  Once the website is up and running, make sure a lot of people see it.

Letter writing campaign
(the making of masses of paper cranes has been suggested and an internet how-to sight located)

Email Network Executives like nobody's business.
I once had the Blackberry contact information for one of the higher ups on the ABC/Alias production team.  I'm pretty sure we drove her nuts, but eventually they brought our supposedly shot full of bullets dead character back.

Branch out.  Contact various media sources - entertainment weekly, tv guide, people, anyone and everyone.  Get them to listen.

Threaten the network or show (or both) with a broad boycott if we find out SWC was wrongfully terminated.
This is a bit of a sticking issue since frequently answers are not forthcoming in this particular situation.

Feel free to add additional ideas or things that you personally would like to help with in the comments.  Tell your friends.  The main idea is to get alot of people on board quickly.

Amazingly enough the petition to bring SWC and Dr. Tancredi back is already up to 2700+ signatures.  This is really something for the third day :)  If you have not already, please sign it.

Ready. Set. Fold!!!

Paper Crane Folding Marathon gets underway to bring back our favorite Dr!!!

Show Sarah Wayne Callies some love by folding her right back into our favorite show!  Right now we are still in the process of getting organized but there is already a lot you can do to help.  For now, try to make 10 (or more paper cranes) a day.  Sometime next week we can mass mail these to network executives over at Fox to make sure they know how much SWC and Dr. Tancredi means to us.  Hidden messages can even be written into the folds of the wings of the crane to show how much we will miss her.  At this point, it is all about getting noticed, but not in a bad way.

Okay so thanks to our very own [info]bertiebob (graphic designer and origami expert - how lucky are we?) we know that the Prison Break 'paper crane' is actually an origami duck or swan.  This website details in diagrams how to make it.

http://flettfolding.blogspot.com/2006/07/duck-diagrams.html

She has also provided us with a link to an instructional youtube video:  Imagine, if you can master it, you can have your 10 crane-swan-ducks done in under 20 minutes!  Clicky Clicky

Or, as a final option, there is always this:  The original origami crane (not quite right) but still meaningful.  Folding instructions can be found here.

Please, please join in the effort and show some love for our favorite Prison Doc!  This is how mountains are moved in the world of network television.
